George Holm was appointed Executive Chair of Performance Food Group in 2026. He served as Chairman of Performance Food Group’s Board of Directors from January 2019 to January 2026. George was the President & Chief Executive Officer of PFG when it was acquired by Vistar Corporation in May 2008 until January 2026. Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Vistar, which he founded in 2002. George grew Vistar, a multi-channel food, snack and beverage distributor, into a $3.5-billion company that was purchased by the Blackstone Group, a premier global investment and advisory firm, in 2007. During his 40-year career in the foodservice distribution industry, George has held leadership positions with Alliant Foodservice, US Foods and Sysco Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Grand Canyon University.
